We finally heard back from Wells Fargo the other day regarding our refinance that started 3 months ago!! Its been frustrating to say the least. We were told the apprasier would be here today at 11:30. For those of you that really know me, it sent me into a panic. I'm paranoid about the condition of my house on a regular day, let alone in this situation. So, I've spent the last 3 days cleaning, painting windowsills, cleaning mildew off our master bathroom ceiling (due to a faulty exahust fan), repainting one kitchen wall, touching up the yard, and cleaning out the storage rooms downstairs, which were a major mess. We also wrapped up a couple unfinished projects that have been lurking. All of that for a 15 minute visit!! Maybe some of it was unnecessary, but boy the house looked good, and I believe it was worth the extra effort. BTW, I didn't mean to sound like I took all the credit, Paco and the kids pitched in to!
After all that, we took off for lunch at Applebees and then home for a short family nap. We were all up until midnight last night, and actually I think Cole and Paco were up even later now that I think about it. I knew we were all tired, and it became even more apparent at lunch when Cole had a total meltdown over a mozzarella stick! (and they say girls are dramatic)!
Today was supposed to be the kids' first day of Outbacker day camp at Sweyolakan on Lake Coeur D'Alene. Yesterday afternoon we got a phone call saying camp was being cancelled due to a possible H1N1 (swine flu) case. Needless to say this threw our entire week upside down. We've both had to rearrange our work schedules to accomodate the change. We're so thankful for understanding bosses! They have been rescheduled for next week, if the health district clears the camp to open back up. We are looking at this with a positive spin, as I had to take Cole to minor emergency yesterday morning for what I knew was swimmer's ear. Now he will have a week to heal from that before he heads to the lake for camp!
Better get off the computer before the kids catch me. We promised them the rest of today would be a family day only, since the last few have been so busy. We owe them! I'll let Paco sleep a bit more and I'll join them in the pool. Then it will be games and family movie night.
Until later....
