HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day! I was awakened by two wiggly children in my bed. Then, they treated me to a bowl of rice krispies for breakfast! If that wasn't great enough, they presented me with my Mother's Day gifts they made at school: Gracie made me a "Recipe book from your little cook". Her particular recipe was for Tacos (a family favorite). Here's her recipe:

Number of servings: 4 Ingredients: ham, cheese, broccoli, olives, tomatoes, sour cream and hard shells (and no, we don't ordinarily put ham and broccoli in our tacos!)

Directions: Cook the ingredients on the stove for about 5 degrees for 10 min. Fold the bread that comes in a circle. Put the ingredients in the circle. Eat it!

She also gave me this:

It says: My Mom likes being alon (alone), My Mom is happy wen I hogr (when I hug her), My Mom helps me with my homewock (homework), Happy Mothrs Day Mom. Isn't that sweet?

Cole made me a symmetrically colored butterfly, isn't it beautiful?

and if that wasn't enough, just look what my lovey wrote on the back:
The right hand side has my name spelled vertically, and something very sweet about his Mama written after each letter.
  • D-elightful like a princess
  • E-njoyable like a fairytail
  • N-ice like a diamond
  • I-ncredible like a angel
  • S-uper like a hero
  • E-ligent (elegant) like a queen

As you can imagine, that one really choked me up! If you look carefully in the picture, my butterfly can also be fashioned as a ring, for when my outfit calls for a little something...extra. These heartfelt Mother's Day gifts called for tear filled hugs and kisses and ridiculous displays of Motherly affection BIG hugs and kisses!

As for the rest of our day, we don't have anything planned. Paco is at work, and I will go about my normal daily stuff. There's still groceries to get and errands to run. That's why they call me Mom. At least it is a beautiful, gorgeous, sunshine-filled day so we can spend some time outside and enjoy God's work!
