First of all, I want to say thank you to my friend Amy...
who so generously took on my 2 children ( along with her 3), this morning so I could take my Mom to the neurologist, and then after that for an unscheduled ultrasound. It was so much easier than trying to keep them busy, quiet, and occuppied! Thank you Amy, I owe you! If you happen to run into Amy, be a dear and take her kids for the afternoon, she needs a break!

Mom is doing well, and is happy I think with the outcome of the surgery. In the long run, she will have less pain in her neck and arms. The kids and I pray for Grandma at night that she can heal quickly and get to hang out with us more!

I am busily trying to prepare for our trip to Glacier. Ok, not really. I begged asked our neighbor if she would feed the dogs and water my flowers and tomatoes so they don't dry up and die like they did last summer when we were away. Speaking of tomatoes, check out my topsy turvy! They've become more like tomato bushes than plants....
and, my garden is coming along nicely... but not as nicely as Amy's, who's tricks of early planting and magical bunny poop seem to be working fabulously.

I digress.

Back to our trip. I've still got piles of stuff to do to get ready, but I just can't seem to motivate myself to get them done. This is so unlike me. Huh. weird. Oh yeah, I also have to sucker persuade Amanda to fish-sit for me. Yes, I said fish sit. Basically my tactic of "asking" will be more along the lines of showing up with Sweetie and Sharktooth (the kids' fish) in hand and guilting her into it. Because, well, thats what friends do.
