After an exhausting day of cleaning, organizing, packing, grocery shopping, prepping, cooking, phone calling, mowing, watering, apple pickuping (totally not a word....our apple tree in the backyard is dropping about 75 apples per day...such a pain in the you-know-what), laundry-ing, bill paying, and even a little swimming, we are this close to being ready for the Glacier trip. Paco's got the roof carrier on the van, the magellan is hooked up (Paco won it from work, sweet!), and he even surprised the kids by hooking up our old nintendo gaming system in the car. The kids don't know about it yet...shhhh. Gone are the days of looking out the window or reading during road trips. Kids these days are so...hooked up.
Paco had to work tonight, so we will be leaving at the crack 'o dawn tomorrow morning, around 5am. My camera is charged, and I am ready for some hard core picture taking! The drive is about 4 1/2 hours, which is a piece of cake for our family. We are used to the 5 hour drives to the cabin. We'll stop for breakfast and whatever else looks interesting. The kids have a bit of spending money, it will be fun to see what they pick out as souveneirs. As for Paco and I, we are just ready to relax for the next 5 days, and get in some well deserved family time.
We're outta here!
