In 6 days we will be off to Glacier National Park. Everyone is excited and ready for some family time, as well as some downtime. This will be the kids' first time to Glacier, we are anxious to share it with them. We will spend 4 nights camping, and plan on doing lots of hiking, biking, exploring, knitting, reading, napping, snacking, snuggling, talking and whatever else comes our way.
You may be wondering, are we ready for this trip? Have we made the lists, checked them twice, planned meals, shopping trips, charged batteries, etc? Well, of course....not. The family planner and organizing extraordinairre is running a bit behind on things. Yes, Yes, I will get it together. Maybe tomorrow. Or the day after. Possibly the night before. Heck, I don't know.
My Mom is doing well since her surgery. Well, as well as can be expected when you have to wear a big uncomfortable neck brace for 6 weeks straight and do much. We see the Doctor Thursday and are hoping she is on track as far as recovering.
I'm on day 6 of an 8 day stretch at work, but things should quiet down now that we made it through inventory! It's always such a relief. I also survived an audit last week that turned out great (for me, anyway), so I'm home free for the rest of summer! No worrying about things during my vacations. Paco and the kids went to church without me yesterday, and he has been great about doing fun stuff with them everyday while I'm working. He's great at that all the time anyway. Such a fun daddy!
For tonight, we are enjoying a cool, rainy gloomy evening. I'm snacking on veggies, chips and homemade garlic hummus. Wow, we are loving homemade hummus! Its delicious and so healthy! Check out this yummy stuff...
For the kids I'm making grilled cheese sandwiches, strawberries, cucumbers and cheese puffs. Nothing too fancy, but easy enough on Mom!
