We got to the top and decided to take the hidden lake hike, which is 3 miles round trip, with the first half being uphill, and partially through the snow. What a workout! We persevered and made it all the way to the lake, seeing lots of wildlife along the way that we wouldn't have seen so close otherwise..
It really was quite a hike...this picture shows you about half the trail...you can see the visitors center where we started out. 
However it was all worth it when we got to the top. Check out this view!
