We had a sweet campsite, right on Fish Creek. However, when we made our reservation back in March, it specified that this campsite was FULL SHADE. Yeah Right! Maybe between the hours of 8pm and 4am....but not in the afternoon. It was HOT! We chose to head to the lake during this time. We did enjoy camp life in the evenings though. Paco caught up on some light reading...
and a little sleeping.....and a bit of gourmet cooking...while Gracie continued to work on kicking that thumb-sucking habit. Or, not. Of course, even though in the woods, we made sure that our children were clean and well-kept at all times....One of two resident pets that visited often....and the other....We also took to the back-country to collect firewood. I am sure the Grandparents will appreciate that we took their bite-sized grandchildren well off the beaten path. If only we had paid closer attention to these signs...While tempting a grizzly (get it?) fate, I did snap some great pics (while glancing nervously in every direction)....and I'll finish this post off with a handsome picture of my very own Paul Bunyan. What an outdoorsman!
